Oxytocin, sometimes called the "cuddle hormone," is known for its role in maternal bonding and childbirth. But when German researchers sprayed oxytocin into men's noses, the men became better at empathizing with photos of people displaying various emotions. Men under the influence of the love drug had the same levels of sensitivity as the untreated women in the control group. An easier way to boost your oxytocin load without resorting to a nasal spray: Cuddle with your wife or girlfriend after sex.
