Got Beef?
Make that burger a double: You may not be consuming enough protein, say scientists in Canada. Middle-aged men who worked out and then ate 170g of cooked ground beef (twice the recommended amount of protein in a meal) maximised their muscle growth, while those who worked out and ate 55g or 110g may not have consumed enough even to preserve muscle mass. The extra protein may help counteract age-related muscle loss.
