So, how do you respond when your motivation is being put to the test?

Here at Men’s Health, we had our own dilemma recently after the long festive break that, in summary, left everyone feeling sedentary and in need of an efficient jumpstart to their fitness routine. Go lift some weights at the gym and hit the pavement afterwards sound like the perfect plan. You just do it, right?

Well, yes and no. The advice you ask us for: what works; what’s the most innovative exercise regime; what’s the fastest method to buff up? We give you all the answers in our Personal Trainer section. It begins on p74. The new sweat-drenching workout is going to torch calories and sculpt every muscle in you while the engaging feature Elite Forza presents training using a lot of bodyweight moves to gain strength that’s resilient and ready for any attack-literally. What’s more, Part 2 of our Why Do You Work Out? Series promises to help you build muscle mass. And if your problem is one of money or privacy-related, on p84 we’ve scoured the fitness retailers to find out exactly what you need to outfit your home gym.

Moreover, in the inspiring story on p56 our contributor Steve Thomas unveils the possibility to do things the lo-fi way and still achieves world class athlete status. What you need is a better understanding of your goals, and more importantly, yourself. He also offers us a taste of Pai, and reveals why one of the best kept adventure destinations can be a real boost to get you back up and moving – read the whole experience on p68.
And there you go, whether as a newbie of veteran, this issue bestows upon you the know-how to get started – again.
