canned-fishWhen your mental gears are spinning, be sure they’re well oiled: New research reveals that omega-3 fatty acids may boost the problem-solving part of your brain. In a study published in the journal PLoS One, people who consumed 2g of omega-3 fatty acids every day for 6 months improved their performance on working memory tests. The researchers say these fatty acids may help regulate dopamine’s role in enhancing working memory, but they’re not sure exactly how.
